What is it?
A Stand in the Park began in Australia in the middle of 2020 as a peaceful way to object to covid lockdowns and other tyrannical measures. Since then the movement has spread worldwide including the UK.
It’s not a ‘protest’, just a peaceful statement of intent. We turn up wearing something yellow and the sight of a group like that gets people talking, coming up to ask questions and hopefully joining in.
And that’s it, no placards or banners, just likeminded people coming together to swap ideas or just to chat, it’s up to you.
If you’ve been feeling lonely feeling like you do about this ‘situation’ we find ourselves in and no one wants to listen to you, then you’ll find going to your local ‘Stand’ to be an uplifting, supportive and enjoyable experience.
Where is it?
It can be found all over the UK now, most likely in a public park near you. The one we go to is in the Memorial Gardens, Crawley, West Sussex, but there are venues all across the UK, please see the list below..
When is it?
Every Sunday 10am - 11am, come rain or shine. You don’t have to go every week, but if many more people attend their local Stands on a regular basis, the more effective it will be.
What will the Stands Achieve?
It will help more people to wake up to the tyranny we are facing and if enough people come together through Stands and other anti lockdown organisations then this will send out a powerful message to the government.
I think it’s already working as it’s obvious the government and mainstream media would like to lock us down again over the ‘Indian Variant’ but are shying away from that. They’re currently just talking about delays in further easing of restrictions.
So I encourage you to go to your local Stand and if that’s Crawley, I look forward to meeting you!
